The Initial Certification Training Program (ICTP) for ARF is a 35-hour course that prepares you to become a certified administrator of a residential care facility for clients ages 18-59. Adult Residential Facilities (ARF) provide non-medical care and supervision for clients who are unable to provide for their own daily needs. Clients are either developmentally disabled or have severe mental illness. The course covers the CCL Core Knowledge Guidelines: Laws and Regulations, Business Operation, Staff Management, Psychosocial and Physical Needs, Medication, Admission and Retention, Emergency Intervention, Community Services, Behavior Intervention and LGBT Cultural Competency. Upon completion of the course, the student is eligible to take the California State Exam.
Certificate: Certificate issued on last day of class.
